ACUPUNCTURE

Hannah Pearn

Hannah is an acupuncturist and fertility awareness teacher and has been in practice for ten years. She specialises in supporting people with fertility issues and problem periods. Acupuncture is great for:

  • balancing hormones

  • reducing stress

  • promoting good sleep

  • improving digestion

  • increasing blood flow to the uterus and ovaries

Acupuncture in this clinic is used in the same way as Chinese acupuncturists do. That is, Hannah sees every patient for a consultation, takes their pulse, then leaves them with needles in for 20 minutes. During this time she will be seeing other patients. After 20 minutes she returns, removes the needles, takes a pulse again. This is an open space with screens to protect privacy but Hannah will always be on hand should you need help at any point during treatment.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Claire King

Claire has been running her health and wellness business since 2003.

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) has its roots in osteopathy and is a holistic body treatment. Working with very gentle adjustments, the body relaxes and finds it's way back to health.

Because of its gentle nature, anyone can benefit from the treatment. I often work with babies just days old.

CST can help with:

  • Anxiety in pregnancy

  • Pregnancy related hip, back and sciatic pain

  • Colic and reflux symptoms in babies

  • Traumatic births and assisted deliveries

  • Migraines

  • Insomnia

  • Tinnitus

  • Stress

  • Long Covid related symptoms

CST in this clinic will run with 45 minute appointments, however after Claire has finished treating you, you are encouraged to continue to lie on the treatment couch for a further 10/15 minutes before you leave. This allows the treatment to integrate, and you, time to relax. Whilst you have your final relaxation, Claire will be seeing another patient as there will be 2 treatment couches running, separated by a screen for your privacy.

If you are at the clinic with your child then this extra time allows for a nappy change, feeding etc.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the set up of the clinic, Claire can only see babies who aren't yet crawling/on the move.

Hannah & Claire's On Line Course

My husband and I attended the virtual massage and acupuncture for labour course with Hannah and Claire in April 2020 when I was 30 weeks pregnant. Their combined expertise provided us with so many useful techniques to use in the lead up to and during labour. We added all of it to our hypnoborthing “tool box” for pain management during labour  - in particular a technique of applying pressure to the hips which really helped with my contractions! It also have my husband something to do during labour to help which was important to us both.
